“Via Babush is terrific for hungry travelers and fantastic for family outings.”
The restaurant serves pasta, pizza, and sushi, among other dishes. On my first visit, I entered the store, walked up a few steps inside, and was led to a table by one of the staff. While the design of the restaurant is simple, the food is far from plain.
I ordered a pizza pie that was half margherita and half “three cheese” pizza. After trying these two varieties, I found them to be on par with some of my favorite New York pizzerias.
When I returned for my second time, I decided to try a penne pasta dish with cream sauce. It was filling, tasty, and definitely hit the spot.
Being a dairy kosher restaurant, Via Babush impresses not only with its adherence to dietary laws but also with its flavors. From the pastel (cheese-filled fried dough pockets) to the fish and rice noodle salad and the melted cheese and egg sandwiches, everything is fresh and delicious. The prompt and courteous service only made my dining experiences more enjoyable.
For those keen on authenticity, you'd be delighted to know that this place doesn't just serve kosher food in its strictest sense, but also boasts a multilingual staff, with at least two employees fluent in Hebrew.
Via Babush is terrific for hungry travelers and fantastic for family outings. If you’re staying at a hotel and not able to stop by the restaurant, be sure to take advantage of their delivery service. I hope to be back again soon to try something new!
