Located on a side street off the Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall on Luntz Street, this pizzeria is a little slice of the Big Apple itself, complete with thin crusts and an atmosphere that mirrors a New York City eatery. Big Apple Pizza was founded in 1986 by Haim Kedem, who spent many years in New York City. Inspired by his time in the Big Apple, Kedem decided to open a pizza shop in Jerusalem, aiming to bring a piece of New York to Israel.
Over the years, the chain has expanded significantly, now featuring ten other locations across Israel as of the time of writing this article. Each branch is designed to give patrons a feel of New York City, with interiors reminiscent of a New York City café, adorned with pictures of the city and American license plates on the walls. This unique setup adds to the authentic New York experience for both locals and tourists alike.
